Stand Up! Against Bullying Poster
CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS: Stand Up! Against Bullying Poster
Ontario has designated the third week of every November as Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week to help promote safer schools and a positive learning environment. During Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week – November 18-24, 2012 – Ontario students, school staff and parents are encouraged to learn more about bullying and its effect on student learning and well-being.
To promote bullying awareness and prevention throughout the entire school year, our board will distribute a poster or series of posters with the slogan “Stand Up! Against Bullying” to all schools.
A call for student design submissions is being sent to all secondary schools. Students are asked to submit a high resolution PDF of a 16” x 22” poster using the provided slogan and scripture (see Design Specs).
Submissions must be forwarded to the board by November 2. A review committee will make their selection on November 5. The posters will be printed and distributed to all elementary and secondary schools by November 16.
To be considered in the board competition you must complete your poster by October 29. Your poster file must be set up 16"x22" with the resolution set to 300 ppi.
You must have the rights to all images used. So if you want a photo on your poster you should take the picture yourself, find a legitimate free photo - try http://creativecommons.org/ - http://search.creativecommons.org/ or buy the image from a stock website (check out http://www.bigstockphoto.com/ or http://www.istockphoto.com/ - you do not need to purchase the image until it has been approved by me and then I can help with this step). Otherwise maybe your poster can be text and design based - be creative.
