CPT

There are 2 components to the CPT.

1. Portfolio to show your course work and your learning progress for the semester. (15% of final mark)
        Option 1 - Weebly account website - electronic portfolio
        Option 2 - Portfolio using InDesign to create a electronic pdf or printed version of your course work.

2. Combine your learning from this class to create a final project. (15% of final mark)
        Option 1 - Create a ready to print book in (you can use InDesign to put it all together -don't stress if you haven't used InDesign before it is just a matter of placing your Photoshop or Illustrator files on pages or you can merge pdfs using Adobe Acrobat) - use your graphic design skills or your photography skills to create a book of your choice (minimum of 10 pages - you should include a title page and the reading level of your book can be set more to a children's book level). 
The book should be either on the Virtues, Catholic Graduate Expectations or the 7 Deadly Sins. Here is some extra information for each topic.
  • Virtues - 10 virtues Fairness, Acceptance, Love, Kindness, Respect, Self-Control/Decision Making, Hope, Conscience, Empathy and Faith  http://www.dpcdsb.org/CEC/Catholic+Community/Virtue+of+the+Month/
  • Catholic Graduate Expectations - There are 7                                                                                                                                                                     The Graduate is expected to be:
    • A discerning believer formed in the Catholic Faith community who celebrates the signs and sacred mystery of God's presence through word, sacrament, prayer, forgiveness, reflection and moral living.
    • An effective communicator who speaks, writes and listens honestly and sensitively, responding critically in light of gospel values.
    • A reflective, creative and holistic thinker who solves problems and makes responsible decisions with an informed moral conscience for the common good.
    • A self-directed, responsible, lifelong learner who develops and demonstrates their God-given potential.
    • A collaborative contributor who finds meaning, dignity and vocation in work which respects the rights of all and contributes to the common good. 
    • A caring family member who attends to family, school, parish, and the wider community.
    • A responsible citizen who gives witness to Catholic social teaching by promoting peace, justice and the sacredness of human life.

  • 7 Deadly Sins - Wrath, Greed, Sloth, Pride, Lust, Envy, and Gluttony.
  • Do you have a different idea? Get it approved by me before you start.

        Option 2 - Create a 30 second (250 pictures at 0.1 seconds each) Stop Motion photograph video in iMovie that must include a minimum of 250 pictures and sound (either a song or sound effects). (see the grade 11 stop motion animation page)
